About Us
Serving the community for over 75 years... The Lion's Club motto, "We Serve" holds true for everything we do. We are dedicated to the Foxboro community, organizing various community service projects and working to end preventable blindness. The association was founded in Chicago in 1917 and has grown to be the world's largest service organization with over 1.4 million members in 180 countries
Serving the blind and visually impaired In 1925, Helen Keller addressed the Lions at their International Convention, challenging them to become the "Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness". Since that time service to the blind and visually impaired has become one of the Lions Clubs most significant activities. Last year the Lions of Massachusetts donated over $1,000,000 to Mass Lions Eye Research.
